The Artothèque d?Angers is hosting artist Keita Mori for a solo exhibition. For this occasion, he has been invited to create a site-specific work within the Artothèque?s space. This installation will be accompanied by a selection of works on paper and a screening of his video piece "Strings". Focusing on the use of line, Keita Mori constructs, through thread, a landscape situated between construction and collapse. Straight lines, curves, and breaks thus compose fragile structures that reveal the tensions and dysfunctions of the landscape.
In his Bug Report series, the artist uses thread as a building material. Glued onto paper or directly onto the wall, this network of lines gives shape to compositions in which he explores the notion of error. In doing so, he brings to light malfunctions and ruptures. In his video work, inspired by the traditional Japanese game of ayatori, three-dimensional architectures take shape and come to life
